Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #17

OH MY GOODNESS!!! LOVE this color combo Dawn!!! I'll have to admit, though, this was a little challenging for me to come up with something but I think I did it!

I created this happy little anniversary card yesterday for this color challenge AND for World Cardmaking Day. All supplies used are Papertrey Ink (except for the staples, the brown ink and the sentiment stamp ;) )


Don't you just LOVE that GORGEOUS over-sized aqua mist button!?


Stamped the star border from "Let Freedom Ring" in the chai ink for a subtle touch of added texture.

Since this was such a fly by post yesterday, I wanted to get back in here today and really give credit where credit is due.

First off, this card is CASE'd from one done by Alison Manning (found in the Sept/Oct 2009 issue of Paper Crafts Magazine - pg 72) so she really is the one that deserves all the credit. :)

Second, the totally FUN ruffled ribbon technique was recently brought to my attention by this wonderfully talented crafter, Lisa Johnson.

Last, and DEFINITELY not least, is the color challege itself posted by Dawn McVey.

Well, I tried! I was going to play along this month in Dawn McVey's color challenge but due to my HORRIBLE internet connection (hopefully that will be taken care of soon!) that didn't work out like I planned.
